Initial project requirements

Paynters, a leader in full-scope building solutions who continue to shape the growth and development of Queensland’s Residential Aged Care, Government and Insurance sectors, was undertaking development at CQU University Gladstone.

Flexshield was chosen to develop the noise control and screening solution for the project because of our expertise in the industry and ability to deliver on time and within the set budget.

The solution

Flexshield’s solution used a combination of existing and new techniques designed specifically for the application.

Even though the welding bay solution was unique, Flexshield’s experience with similar projects enabled the team to suggest a solution with confidence. The team then followed up with the necessary resources to follow through with the design, and deliver and install the complete solution.

Flexshield conducted several site visits in the design phase, ensuring the client was heavily involved in the design to meet their requirements for access and usability.

The solution was designed and developed throughout several months. When finalisation was complete, we manufactured, delivered and installed the solution over eight weeks.

The new welding and grinding bay showcase Flexshield’s ability to provide innovative one-stop solutions for Trade Training Centre fit-outs.

CQU Gladstone University will enjoy increased productivity and fewer incidents thanks to teaching in the larger bays with their increased work area and a better layout. Overall, they now have a more pleasant, spacious, acoustically friendly and compliant workspace.

Flexshield had all the necessary OHS documentation/procedures and systems in place to comply with the stringent OHS standards of a Government project.
